Kaphorn: Schlagzeug (ex-Chung, ex-Party Diktator)
Alechz: Bass (TerraFlop, ex-Saprize, ex-Queerfish)
Micha: Gitarre (Noisescape, Gorilla Move)
Killlili: Stimme (Betastone)

Let there be Noise Rock!

O. – the London-based duo of baritone saxophonist Joe Henwood and drummer Tash Keary – return with details of their highly anticipated debut album “WeirdOs” and a colossal new single titled “Green Shirt”.

The album is due out 21st June via Speedy Wunderground. Honing their fearless sound through a residency at Brixton’s iconic venue The Windmill, as well as on support slots across the UK and Europe with fellow heavyweights black midi and Gilla Band, O. have now distilled their unique live energy into their debut album, “WeirdOs”.

Featuring production from Dan Carey, WeirdOs is Tash and Joe at their most raucous and free. Across 10 tracks of high-octane instrumentals recorded live to tape, the duo encompass everything from cathartic dancefloor drops, to junglist breakbeats, intricate jazz lines, and sludgy, menacing doom metal.

Coming hot on the heels of last November’s debut EP “SLICE” – which won enthusiastic support from DIY, Dork, NME, Louder, and Rough Trade – the new single “Green Shirt” sees the band expanding on their ever evolving, epiphanic sound combining thundering blast beats with labyrinthine sax.

The band describe the single as “a short rock/metal rinse out. To match the distorted amp sounds coming from Joe, we put Tash's drums through distorted guitar amps on this one. It's named after Tash's favourite green flannel shirt, that was lost several times and then eaten by a dog.”

---

POINT NO POINT started as solo project of Berlin musician Jana Sotzko but functions live as a full band with members of GYM TONIC, MATCHING OUTFITS, HALFSILKS, UYUY, and many others. After two solo albums the band recently recorded a new EP as a quintet. Musically they find themselves somewhere between post-punkish vibes, synth-driven experimental pop and kraut-inspired jams.

ALICE GIFT (ex-Velvet Condom) is finally back with a new record.

'Nothing Against Uplifting, But ...' (mixed by ‘The Notwist’ producer Tad Klimp) has just been released on the Parisian label 'Icy Cold Records' and includes exciting B-sides and rarities from the French Berliner. In keeping with the new electronic sounds heard on it, he will be performing in a duo formula at his upcoming shows with new machine support.

In 2021, he was able to successfully launch and promote his debut album "Alles ist Gift" (mixed by ‘Me And My Drummer’ producer Joe Joaquin) despite the severe restrictions imposed by the pandemic.

The song 'Trance Park' profiled itself as the most successful album outtake so far, with a Heavy-Rotation on Berlin's BBC-like Radio station ‚Radio Eins‘.

Live, Alice Gift delivers a toxic mélange of shoegaze, darkwave and synthpop along with his accomplice Djamila Paris.

Alice Gift has already toured and shared the stage with Actors, Clan of Xymox, She Past Away, Film School, Light Asylum, …

Through the folded sky to America
Ten albums in three years. That's still the cosmic mission of the Berlin post-kraut trio YELKA with Daniel Meteo, Christian Obermaier, and the namesake Yelka Wehmeier.
With the album "For," there was a Label change. After releasing three albums in 2023 with Maurice Summen, head of Fun In The Church they passed the label responsibilities to Karaoke Kalk. Karaoke Kalk is a friendly label founded in Cologne known for establishing the Berlin Post-Wende scene (fall of the wall scene).

OGROM CIRCUS: Heartbreaking vocals harmonies, soulful atmospheric folk and some psychedelic space trips ... with a bluesy breeze of soul. After some changes in the line up, the quintet fires up any audience again since 2018. Energetic rhythms, polyphonic vocals and massive organ sounds gonna revive the psychedelic of the sixties in a modern pop-robe.

The band released their debut in 2014 on Timezone Records. The second one “what the sea once took” was released in 2019 in collaboration with Dynamite Platten. The lp was recorded and mixed by musician and producer Rhys Braddock (NZL). Now the new record “the world barely makes a sound” will follow in 2024, also on Dynamite Platten, recorded in a live session on a Tascam tape machine from the 90s.

After Party w/ DJ Maurico Fleury & Edna Martinez + congolese cusine by Food Fruit African

Café Chocolat, is a new music series and community building event created by Melissa Perales (M:Soundtrack, Durchlüften, Music Pool Berlin) and Batila (the Dream bus, BantuSoul Allstars). We aim at celebrating and supporting local talents and newcomer black and brown artists & DJ’s within the diaspora of Germany’s communities. Our main thesis is that when communities are supported and treated fairly they will thrive. Aside from the showcases, this series is about surviving as an artist and creator in the black and brown community. We believe with more emphasis on “all of us”, we can create a more equitable event and make a contribution to our music scene. Please come out and support our efforts so we can continue this event! The Dream Bus will be taking us along a journey each evening with special guests

Nyangombe returns to Schokoladen with her second performance, this time as a guest at Café Chocolat.  Nyangombe is a self-taught and multidisciplinary artist who integrates music composition, writing, video, performance, and costume in her practice. The common thread of her work is individuality (mix heritage,
woman, artist) in the community in relation and in confrontation with the antagonisms. She works solo, with her band Village Papa Nyangombe and in collaboration with artists from various disciplines and performs in the
urban and alternative art scene of Kinshasa. Her EP “Fatherland” out in 2023 is the reflection of the journey of a mix race artist working, thinking and struggling as a woman in her father’s land-

She creates neo-afro soul pieces poignantly blended with indigenous Ghanaian rhythms that influence her fuse with the soul, lending their parts in the crafting of a unique live sound that takes listeners on a satisfying journey of culture and taste. Susan is born of Ga-Ewe descent and lived her early years in Obuasi, a suburb of the Ashanti Region in Ghana; she believes these multi-culture experiences have contributed to her versatility in her music. FREUNDE SIND immer noch GUT DRAUF ++ post show w/ DJ Acidgold

Kauft also bitte Karten, das macht man so.
